Graham Evans MP is running an Export Fair with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) to encourage local businesses to engage with overseas markets. The event is being held on Friday February 7, from 9.30am to 1pm, at The Atrium, Daresbury Laboratory in Keckwick Lane.
Graham Evans MP said: “I am very pleased to be working with the UKTI to encourage Weaver Vale businesses to expand their markets.
“Across Weaver Vale and the whole of Cheshire there is a wealth of innovative and dynamic companies with the skills and products for an international market.
“This fair and seminar, called ‘Your Export Journey’, are designed to introduce businesses to many aspects of international export and provide information about the support available to expand business markets.
“Last year, companies in the North West exported £26 billion worth of products while, on average, firms new to international trade experience a 34% increase in productivity during the year they start exporting.
“The seminar will include a local company discussing their experience of exporting, as well as Clive Drinkwater, Regional Director of UKTI North West, and David Briggs Lord Lieutenant of Cheshire.
“I am very pleased to be working with the UKTI to help local businesses expand their horizons and if any company would like to find out more they should visit exportingcheshire.eventbrite.co.uk, call Nicola Davies on 0161 875 2351 or e-mail [email protected]”
