The resolution put forward by our local WI to the National Federation of WI's has been shortlisted!
This is excellent news and will help to increase awareness of Gladys’s campaign to ensure that those who suffer from dementia are cared for with appropriate facilities if they need to go into hospital.
WI’s across the country submitted 79 resolutions which were narrowed down to a short list of 8. The 8 final resolutions (including Gladys’s) will be voted on by all WI members and appear in the November/December issue of their members’ magazine, WI Life.
“There are some excellent resolutions which have been selected,” said Graham, “However, naturally, I am hoping that WI members nationwide will put their support behind Gladys’s campaign!”
Members are being asked to vote on the resolution which they would like to take forward to the Annual General Meeting next June. The successful resolutions will become mandates which will form the basis of WI campaigns and educational activity.
