Graham celebrated the 30th year of the 4Children charity and the launch of their new manifesto.
Graham said: “4Children has campaigned over the past thirty years to ensure children and families have access to the services and support they need in their communities.
“The event was also the launch of their new manifesto Making Britain Great for Children and Families which looks at how families access and are supported by public services.
“In a YouGov poll of more than 2000 people, commissioned by 4Children, 44% of parents say Britain’s services are not good enough for families and need to be dramatically changed and only 6% think no changes are needed to public services.
“I support 4Children’s call for a Family Commitment which would include ensuring policies are family friendly and a review of support for vulnerable families.
Currently, £9 billion a year is spent on supporting troubled families while £29 billion a year is spent on tackling child poverty but looking more closely at how supported are provided could create better outcomes for children and their families alike.”
