Sandymoor Free School’s planning application for permanent buildings on the site have been approved by Halton Borough Council following a deferral at the July meeting.
“This is great news for the school which has just completed its first successful academic year.
“The new planning permission will secure the School’s future, giving it the capacity to educate up to 900 pupils as the population in the area increases. Over 450 jobs are expected to be created during the construction period and the school will have the potential to employ up to 85 permanent employees.
"This is fantastic news for the area as the school will help to raise standards for all local children and create employment opportunities.”
