Graham is a regular visitor to O2’s offices at Preston Brook. He’d made the invitation after meeting some of the team during the summer.
“It was an amazing experience to meet Graham and experience the seat of power,” said Jo-Anne, who is a manager at O2 and lives at Stone Barn Lane. “We were able to see where the Queen sits for the State opening of Parliament and followed the route she takes. It was a fascinating day which I’ll remember for a long time – a story to tell my granddaughter!”
Graham said it was a treat for him to welcome the team, all of whom had been nominated for their outstanding contribution to the community and work with customers.
“It’s always nice to have the opportunity to welcome constituents to the House. I have visited O2 on a number of occasions and wanted to give them an insight into my ‘office’ and typical day,” said Graham.
Another lucky winner was Martin Arthur who said the day made him feel very patriotic.
“The history and architecture of the buildings was amazing. It made me feel proud to be British and to witness a real, live, highly topical debate in the main House of Commons was remarkable,” he said.
