Graham visited the Greenbank area in Northwich to see first-hand the many improvements that have been made to homes owned by Weaver Vale Housing Trust.
He learnt about residents are now saving money on their energy bills thanks to solar panels fitted by the Trust who invested £50,000 to fit the photovoltaic (PV) panels as part of a pilot scheme.
Graham met with Graham Roberts, Director of Property Services, and local residents to hear more about the changes that are already having a positive impact on the local community.
Graham said, “I was very pleased to visit Weaver Vale Housing Trust meet staff and residents and to learn about how the Trust is bringing the Greenbank community together.
“Providing housing is just one part of the work the Trust does to create a positive sense of community.
“I was also very interested to learn about how residents are saving money on their energy bills as a result of the solar panels.
“I was very impressed by all the work being undertaken by Weaver Vale Housing Trust to improve the quality of life for residents here in Weaver Vale. The feedback was extremely positive and I look forward to hearing more about the Trust’s future plans.”
