Graham supported the Cold Homes Week campaign an Age UK initiative making older people aware of the risks of cold weather, at Winnington Recreation Centre.
Graham said: “I am very pleased to be supporting Age UK’s Cold Home Week. Keeping warm saves lives and Age UK does great work in raising awareness of the need to prepare for cold weather as well as providing care and support to older people.
“During its annual Spread the Warmth Campaign, Age UK and its local and national partners are working hard to help older people keep warm and well in a number of ways, including through winter benefit checks and handyperson services. They provide hot nutritious meals at local lunch clubs as well as home visits and friendly telephone calls through befriending services for those who may feel isolated.
“Age UK Cheshire is a really active charity in Weaver Vale and that is why I was very pleased to commend it for its great work in supporting older people during Health Oral Questions in Parliament in November last year”
