Graham was delighted to present Northwich teenager Laura Hunt with a lightweight wheelchair so she can regain some independence thanks to the Newlife charity and Vale Royal Lions Club.
Graham said: “I was delighted to present this wheelchair to Laura. This is a fantastic of example of how charities and local organisations can unite for important causes. The generosity of people in Weaver Vale will make an amazing difference to Laura’s quality of life”
“Laura lost her mobility five years ago due to the rare disorder Spastic Paraparesis. Until now, Laura has had rely on other people to push her around in a heavy wheelchair supplied by statutory services. She longed for a lightweight manual wheelchair so she could propel herself – and her family and friends have been working with leading UK children’s disability charity Newlife Foundation to raise the £2,801 needed. With the help of Vale Royal Lions Club and public donations, Laura is now getting her Quickies wheelchair.
“It was such a pleasure to present this and see just how much she has gained from her new chair.”
