Graham was pleased to visit Northwich Sainsburys to find out how customers and Sainsbury’s have donated to the Active Kids campaign.
Graham said: “I was really pleased to visit the store to learn about how the Active Kids campaign has raised over £136 million worth of equipment and experiences to nearly 52,000 organisations across the UK since 2005.
“This campaign has been encouraging children to be more active by giving customers vouchers which can be donated to nurseries, schools, Scout and Guide groups as well as other youth sport groups.
“Additionally, the Active Kids for All scheme, supports teachers and school staff to develop the skills and confidence to deliver inclusive PE lessons. Over 800 teachers have received the training, benefitting more than 19,000 young people who have disabilities or special educational needs.
“If you know any schools which would benefit from this free training, please encourage them to register on Active Kids for All website.”
