The winning act will take its place in the national competition of a battle of the bands to be in with a chance of scooping a number of prizes including music equipment, a slot at festivals and the chance to mingle with the great and the good of the music industry.
The top-placed performer in each category will perform live at a final competition reception on the terrace at the House of Commons.
MP Evans said: 'In 2011, I was very pleased to be able to nominate Runcorn band Stoneway as Weaver Vale's entry into the Rock The House competition.
