He said: 'There is a real diversity of firms based at Frodsham Business Centre and the country needs places like this, which encourages wealth generating small and medium sized businesses to grow.
'It is these firms that will help to get our economy moving again.'
IT specialists Medhurst, vehicle camera technology firm Vision UK and accountant Mark Greeve were among those in attendance, along with representatives from cerebral palsy charity Scope and Cheshire Pre School Learning Alliance.
Mr Evans took questions on a range of issues including how the government's loan guarantee scheme will help businesses, the future of the euro and its impact on the UK, the levels of national insurance and corporation tax paid by businesses and what support is available for charities.
'The country is currently in serious debt crisis and business owners and other taxpayers in Cheshire are paying a lot of money into the pot,' he said.
'As the MP for Weaver Vale I am working extremely hard to promote and support local businesses and ensure that Cheshire gets the investment it deserves in return.'
Frodsham Business Centre was founded in 1995 by father and son Simon and Robert Longden. It is housed in the former workshop of the family haulage firm Helsby and Longden Ltd.
It is now home to 22 businesses employing almost 90 people. Some of the other businesses currently at the centre include specialist IT, finance, legal and mechanical firms and an executive chauffeur company.
Centre director Simon Longden said: 'A lot of local businesses have concerns about the economy and it is encouraging that Mr Evans has taken the time to meet firms based at the business centre to offer his support.'
