Graham said: “I am a strong supporter of publicans and the brewing industry – like many constituents who have contacted me, I share concerns about the future of the great British pub.
“The proposals would ensure fair practices for a number of issues including rents and the prices publicans pay for beer. This would maintain a level playing field between tied licensees and free-of-tie licensees and help protect thousands of small businesses. An adjudicator would have the power to investigate, deal with disputes, and in some cases issue fines and I am sure this will be welcomed by those who have long campaigned on this issue.
“I would like to urge anyone who has strong feelings on this issue to respond to the consultation before it closes on the 14th June. You can do that by visiting here.”
