The dementia Community Roadshow has been touring since 2011 providing advice, support and information to members of the public about dementia.
Today it came to Northwich, and Graham met up with Gladys Archer to chat to the Alzheimer’s staff about Gladys’s campaign to get better facilities in hospitals for those with dementia who are admitted with an un-related medical condition.
Other members of the local Conservative team in Northwich also came to support the campaign.
“What we need to ensure is that when those with dementia need to go into hospital that they are looked after in the best possible way,” said Graham, “That can mean relatively simple things like allowing their carers to stay with them regardless of normal visiting hours. Carers provide the vital reassurance that dementia sufferers need when put in very unfamiliar environments.”
