Local MP Graham Evans completed the London Marathon on Sunday finishing the gruelling 26mile course in 4Hrs 25mins which was a personal best for him.
The 52 year old MP was running this year for the charity Care after Combat which helps ex-service personal and their families re-adjust to civilian life. This year’s marathon was Graham’s 5th Marathon in a row and he’s now clocked up 130 miles for good causes.
Pictured shortly after the race with his family Graham said, “I’m really pleased to have finished the course and with a personal best! As usual there’s a terrific atmosphere with the crowds cheering you on. Millions is being raised today for all sorts of amazing causes, and I’m honoured to be raising money for Care after Combat. I’m also very proud of Mrs Evans who has just completed her first ever Marathon!”
Only 8 MP’s in the whole country ran Sunday’s race with times ranging from 3hrs 43 to over 7hrs.
